Dak Lak: The total of retail goods turnover in 5 months in 2009 estimated to reach over 6 billion
According to Dak Lak Provincial Department of Trade and Industry, the total retail goods turnover in our provincial market estimated to reach 1,288 billion VND, increasing 2.57% compared with 4/2009, raising the total of retail goods turnover the first 5 months in 2009 to 6,607 billion VND, reached 44% compared with the plan.

Dak Lak: The value of industrial production in 5 months in 2009 reached 955 billion VND
The value of industrial production in May of 2009 reached 179,177 million VND, increasing 0.2% compared with the April, increasing 12.2% compared with the same period in 2008. In which, State industrial enterprises reached 25,284 million VND, increased 0.4% compared with April, decreased 42.9% compared with the same period in 2008; private industrial companies reached 152,568 million, increasing 0.1% compared with 4/2009, increasing 24.2% compared with the same period in 2008; Foreign investment companies reached 1,325 million VND, increasing  58.7% compared with the same period in 2008. Thus, the value of industrial production in 5 months in 2009, reached 955,551 million VND and accounting for 29.5% of the plan.

Dak Lak: export turnover of 5 months in 2009 estimated at 270 million USD
According to DakLak Department of Commerce and Industry, export turnover of the province in May 2009 of 50 million USD, raising the total export turnover in 5 months in 2009 to 270 million USD, 29% reduction compared with the same period, reaching 43.5% compared with the plan. Main export products in May 2009 are: coffee 20,000 tons; Rubber 950 tons; Pepper 350 tons; cassava products 3,000 tons; honey products 600 tons and other items...
Export 150 thousand tons of coffee in 5 first months
In May, our province exported 20,000 tons of coffee with export turnover reaching over 30 million USD. So, in 5 first months of this year, our province exported 150,000 tons of coffee with export turnover reaching about 230 million USD, accounting for 85% of total export turnover of the province.
Beside of coffee, we also exported 4,150 tons of rubber, 1,650 tons of pepper; 21,000 tons of cassava products, 1,900 tons of honey and some other items ... with total export turnover of the province in 5 first months of 270 million USD, decreased 29% compared with the same period last year.

Our province focuses on developing industry and limiting environmental pollution
Currently, our province are creating favorable conditions for the production factories concentrating in industrial parks and groups where have conditions to process industrial wasted resources in concentration, speeding up the progress of the investment in system of collecting and treating waste water in concentration in Hoa Phu industrial park, industrial groups of Tan An (Buon Ma Thuot), Buon Ho (Krong Buk), Ea Dar (Ea Kar), Truong Thanh  Ea H’leo (Ea H’leo)..., In order to treat thoroughly waste water from factories in industrial park, and groups, while the independent factories should check seriously impacts to the environment to look for a solution treating and limiting maximum of environmental pollution.

Dak Lak: Guiding enterprises focusing attention on the market to develop industry
Developing commodity market is the important factor for developing industry. It is necessary to combine both the domestic market with international market, specially attention to preparing the conditions for industry of our province and of the country integrating stably. The Province guides enterprises should focus attention on resources to enhance competitiveness and control the domestic market and international market for products having advantages such as coffee, cashew, rubber, refined wood, wood art and other industrial products...

Target of agriculture, rural areas and farmers of Daklak province up to 2010
To carry out the program No.26 –CTr/TU of  October 20, 2008 of DakLak provincial committee of the Party on implementing Resolution of the Seventh Assembly of Central Committee of the Party of session X on “Agriculture, rural areas and farmers”, People’s Committee of DakLak province has issued the Action program with the target up to 2010, Daklak province tries to get rate of average economic development from 11% to 12%/year. In which, agriculture and forestry increasing 5-6%, developing strongly industry, construction and services in rural areas so that the density of agriculture and forestry of the province accounts for 48%-49% of the economic structure.

On November 8, 2008 The 2nd farmer contest of Dak Lak province with the subject: Good farmer in coffee production and trade” opened by the contest of group 1 at Krong Buk House of Culture. This is activity in the program of The Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2008.

Recently, People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a ceremony to sign the contract sponsoring for The Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2008 between People's Committee of Dak Lak province and Viet Nam Agricultural and Rural Development Bank.
Recommending farmers limiting to sell raw coffee in the market
The price of raw coffee nowadays in Dak Lak province is 24,800 – 25,000 VND per kg, decreasing 18,000VND per kg compared to the price of coffee in the quarter 1 of 2008. According to the calculation of many enterprises, with this price, it is only equal or lower compared with the cost, making farmers disadvantageous. Dak Lak province as well as export enterprises should recommend farmers limiting to sell coffee in abundance in order to wait high price. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thai – Director of Thang Loi coffee Company advises farmers not to sell coffee in abundance in this time when the price is lower than the cost that will make the price lower.
